Ceramic collection for Henriot-Quimper.
A unifying vision of modern beauty and local Breton heritage, make for a very successful collaboration between Mathieu Pung and the manufacture Henriot.
La bigoudène & la bigoudène punk. With clean, contemporary curves and a hint of Pop Art, this figurine brings a new silhouette to this persona without sacrificing her identity. With the punk, the traditional 'coiffe' is replaced with the new style of our generation, celebrated in gold. It is used for the Victoires de Bretagne, a ceremony in France recognizing the best innovators of the year.
Le pichet à facettes. From the back, it resembles a traditional pitcher, with its classic handle and smooth white glazing. By turning it around, we discover with amazement a contemporary pitcher with multiple facets.
Le bol à facettes. The faceted bowl, a new version of the famous Henriot lug bowl, is a manifestation of the new mantra of Henriot, “Roots of the future”, where modern art is combined with the exceptional know-how of the pottery factory.
P’tit Jacques. The modern representation of the ‘fisherman’ is modern, youthful and stylized, in line with the other figurines. Holding a fish between his arms, in an almost affectionate way, he conveys a message: let’s protect nature, our oceans in the spirit of Jacques Cousteau.
